ScamBounce App-Specific Terms
Last updated: April 29, 2026
1. Relationship to General Terms
These ScamBounce App-Specific Terms supplement the Social Play Systems Terms of Service and apply to your use of the ScamBounce mobile application and related services.
In the event of a conflict between these ScamBounce App-Specific Terms and the general Social Play Systems Terms of Service, these ScamBounce App-Specific Terms control for use of ScamBounce.
2. ScamBounce Is Not a Guarantee
ScamBounce is designed to help identify, warn about, and reduce exposure to suspected scam, spam, phishing, or fraudulent calls and messages. ScamBounce does not guarantee that every scam, spam, phishing attempt, fraudulent communication, or unwanted contact will be detected, blocked, labeled, or prevented. Users remain responsible for exercising caution before responding to calls, messages, links, payment requests, financial requests, account verification requests, or other communications.
3. False Positives and Missed Communications
ScamBounce may occasionally identify a legitimate call or message as suspicious, spam, scam, or unwanted, and may also fail to identify a communication that is fraudulent or harmful. We are not responsible for missed communications, blocked calls, delayed alerts, incorrect labels, or user decisions made based on ScamBounce warnings or recommendations.
4. Google Play Subscriptions and Billing
ScamBounce subscriptions purchased through the Google Play Store are billed and managed by Google Play.
- •Subscription pricing, trial terms, renewal dates, cancellation options, and refund eligibility are shown during the Google Play purchase flow.
- •Subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are subject to Google Play’s applicable terms and policies.
- •Users may manage or cancel subscriptions through their Google Play account settings.
- •Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund prior charges unless required by law or approved through Google Play.
5. Family Plans and Device Consent
- •Family or multi-device plans are intended for lawful use by a parent, legal guardian, account holder, or authorized family administrator.
- •By adding a device, user, child, parent, spouse, family member, or other individual to a ScamBounce plan, you represent that you have the legal authority or consent required to install, activate, configure, or manage ScamBounce on that device.
- •ScamBounce may not be used for stalking, harassment, unauthorized surveillance, impersonation, or monitoring another person’s communications without consent where required by law.
6. Children and Parent or Guardian Responsibility
ScamBounce is intended to be managed by adults, parents, or legal guardians. If ScamBounce is used on a minor’s device, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for setup, supervision, consent, and compliance with applicable laws. Minors may use ScamBounce only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
7. Sensitive Permissions Disclosure
To provide call, scam-warning, blocking, filtering, or protection features, ScamBounce may request access to device permissions depending on the features enabled. These permissions may include:
- •Phone, caller identification, or call screening permissions
- •Contacts access for contact matching features
- •Notifications access for alerts and status updates
- •Messaging-related or other Android permissions only when required by enabled features and disclosed in the app
ScamBounce only uses permissions to provide, secure, improve, or support the requested app functionality as described in our Privacy Policy and in-app disclosures.
8. User-Submitted Scam Reports
Users may be able to submit, report, flag, or provide information about suspected scam, spam, phishing, or fraudulent numbers, messages, or activity. You agree not to submit:
- •False or misleading information
- •Defamatory, abusive, private, or unlawful information
- •Reports intended to harass, target, impersonate, or harm another person or business
- •Content you do not have the right to submit
By submitting a report, you grant Social Play Systems permission to use, analyze, store, display, modify, aggregate, and share the information as needed to operate, improve, and protect ScamBounce and its users.
9. Scam Database and Third-Party Data
ScamBounce may use internal systems, user reports, third-party data sources, FTC local intelligence, device-based rules, automated analysis, or other signals to identify suspected scam, spam, phishing, or fraudulent activity. These signals may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or unavailable at times.
10. Not a Replacement for Professional or Emergency Services
ScamBounce does not provide legal, financial, law enforcement, emergency, cybersecurity, banking, or identity-theft recovery services. If you believe you are the victim of fraud, identity theft, financial exploitation, harassment, or a crime, contact your financial institution, mobile carrier, local law enforcement, or other appropriate authority.
11. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
Users may request account deletion or deletion of eligible personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing records, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legitimate business purposes.
